Thursday, Sept 29th

We continued to discussed chapters 7-9 of Frankenstein today.  From our discussion, it seemed to me that some of you haven’t read the book, so we are going to have a READING QUIZ on chapters 10-12 next class.  READ THE NOVEL!

The rewrites were due today.  No late assignments will be accepted.

Tuesday, Sept. 27th

After going over the results of the paragraph you wrote for last class, we came up with a collaborative rubric with which I will evaluate your “make-up” paragraph, should you choose to try writing the paragraph again.  The topic this time is on how Victor Frankenstein and Robert Walton are character foils.  The same expectations for the last paragraph apply here:  double space, ink, third person, present tense, incorporate supporting quotations.  As this is an opportunity to improve your mark, it MUST be handed in on Thursday.  No late work will be accepted.

We continued discussing the novel and will finish off chapters 4-9 next class.  Feel free to read ahead if you wish.
